Startup Waveforms -

When you first power up the DST501 module you will always see a waveform output before ever opening the GUI. This waveform is called the startup waveform and is saved on to the EPROM on the board and is loaded at every power-up. For the DST501, you can select your own waveform as the startup waveform.

» You will first need to save a waveform with the parameters that you desire. Please note that you can ONLY use built-in waveform as startup waveforms. User-defined waveforms will be ignored.

» Click on the Waveform Selector and select a waveform. For this example, we will select the "DC to 250 MHz" waveform.

» Of course at this point you can change any of the parameters to suit your needs. If you would like a user-defined waveform instead of a built-in waveform, please disregard the instruction above and instead follow the instructions on the Loading User-Defined Waveforms page. After you have loaded the user-defined waveform, you may continue on with the instructions below.

» Click on the EPROM Waveform menu and go down and select Save

» The waveform should now be saved to the EPROM. To make sure that it has been saved correctly, you can click on the EPROM Waveform menu again but this time select Load.

» After a small delay, you should be able to see your waveform. You can now power down then power up the module to see the startup waveform in action.
